IBPS SO Exam Pattern & Selection Process 2018

This year IBPS has made a major change in the IBPS SO 2018 Exam Pattern. Till last year, there used to be only 1 examination then followed by an interview. However, this year there will be a two-tier examination.

The preliminary exam will be a qualifying phase for the mains and candidates will have to meet the cut-offs of prelims to be eligible to appear for Mains exam.

The IBPS SO selection takes place in 3 stages – Prelims, Mains & Interview. The Preliminary exam is just a qualifying exam and the marks that you score in the Prelims are not counted towards final merit list preparation.

Once you clear the Prelims stage, you qualify for the Mains exam. Thereafter, the selected candidates will be called the Interview. Your final selection depends upon your collective performance in Mains Exam & Interview.
